TD

Teaching at the Medical Informatics Discipline since 1995, Head of the Medical Informatics Department, Director of Department of Medical Education (11) of the Faculty of Medicine.

Teaching activity: cycle I (bachelor's degree, Faculty of Medicine: Biostatistics and Medical Informatics & Scientific Research Methodology), cycle II (Scientific Research Methodology and Bioinformatics courses for UMF master's degrees), cycle III (Scientific Research Methodology for the Doctoral School of UMF).

Areas of interest: Medical Scientific Research Methodology, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Computer Assisted Medical Education.

Possible Bachelor's Thesis Topics:

  • Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Diagnosis: This thesis topic would explore the various ways in which artificial intelligence (AI) is being used to improve the accuracy and efficiency of medical diagnosis. This could include examining the use of AI to analyze medical images, patient data, and other clinical information to identify diseases and conditions.
  • Statistical Evaluation and Modeling of Biomarker Evolution: This thesis topic would focus on the development of statistical methods for evaluating and modeling the evolution of biomarkers over time. Biomarkers are biological molecules that can be used to indicate the presence or progression of a disease. This research could have implications for early disease detection and personalized medicine.
  • Diagnostic Scores: This thesis topic would explore the development and validation of diagnostic scores, which are numerical tools used to assess the risk of a patient having a particular disease or condition. This research could involve developing new scoring systems or evaluating the performance of existing ones.
  • Statistical Modeling of Medical Imaging: This thesis topic would focus on the development of statistical models for analyzing medical images, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. These models could be used to identify abnormalities in the images that may be indicative of disease.
  • Using Artificial Intelligence for Medical Image Analysis: This thesis topic would explore the use of AI for analyzing medical images, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. This could include developing AI algorithms to automatically detect abnormalities in the images or to provide assistance to radiologists in interpreting the images.

These are just a few examples of possible bachelor's thesis topics in the field of medical informatics. There are many other interesting and important research questions that could be explored in this area.
