 History:

 1990: First to introduce a compulsory course of medical informatics for first year students of the faculty of medicine

 1992: First permanent teachers

 1994: Organized the first post-graduate courses

 1996: Establishment of the The Scientific Medical Research Methodology Center

 1996: Establishment of The Computer-aided Medical Education Center 

 1997-1998: First class  of Medical Informatics Masters

 1998: Establishment within the Department of the Communication Center of the University  

 2001: Establishment of the college and department of medical informatics and bioinformatics masters are proposed

Objectives:

Training students in some of the main directions of medical informatics and biostatistics are the purposes of direct applications in medicine, as evidenced by the seminar and practical work.
